Focus your prep content on local relatables. Commit to sounding local to cater to your audience’s interests to keep listeners connected and engaged.  Take your national show prep and make it sound local.  Share things that are fun or interesting to see or do in the area.
What does your imaging say about you?  Does it merely sell station features, or are listening benefits promoted?  There is a trend toward producing imaging that promotes your local identity and features listeners endorsing the station.  This will help imaging sound awesome and memorable.
Stephen Wilson Jr was born in Seymour, Indiana. Wilson started boxing at an early age since he was raised solely by his single dad who was also a boxer and was an Indiana State Gold Gloves finalist. As he grew older, he taught himself guitar and moved to Nashville for college, studying microbiology at MTSU.
Chef Gordon Ramsay’s direct approach and focused advice could be a quick fix for radio shows and stations. You may think there’s no such thing as a quick fix because your station is complicated, your market unique, and there are so many “cooks” in your radio “kitchen” that it’s hard to get things done. But just like the restaurants Ramsay advises, it’s easy to get lost in the weeds and lose sight of how your station sounds to your audience.
