A conscious logistical decision by the NAB was a lifesaver for me on a tight turnaround this year. Usually, the radio booths are seemingly spread out across all the halls of the convention center in Las Vegas but this year they grouped the majority of them together in the Central Hall. This made for less overall walking and allowed me to see lots of my radio friends without logging 20k steps a day on my FitBit.

Like other large radio groups it appears that Audacy is moving toward regional market oversight leading to a new round of staff reductions. This comes a little over a year after Audacy's last round of layoffs. With first quarter coming to a close Audacy may not be the only radio group opting to layoff staff.
Welcome to the new management paradigm for radio:  “We love marketing… just not the budget line.” When cuts come, marketing is often first on the chopping block. Yet here’s the irony: when revenue tightens, marketing matters more — not less.
