After a round of layoffs last November, so far this year most of the cuts at iHeart had been isolated to individual markets. Today, however, multiple outlets are reporting another large round of cuts across iHeart have begun that include some big names and are expected to continue over the coming days.
This week’s cuts include: MuthaKnows from the Rise & Grind Morning Show at Power 99 WUSL after 14.5 year and The Gambler 1480 WDAS Program Director Sean Brace, both in Philadelphia. Hooker from the Hooker & DB Morning Show on Rock 106.7 KAAZ. Plus, Joyce Wirthlin the Market President in Salt Lake City, who had been with the cluster in various roles for 27 years. JT Bosch the SVP of Programming and PD/Afternoons on Country Q104.1 after six years in Greensboro & Winston Salem. Sarah Jacobs the Assistant Program Director and middays at Country US 103.5 as well as CHR 93.3 midday host Katie Sommers, both in Tampa. Along with Kevin Cruise the morning host on 100.3 the Edge KDJE in Little Rock. Hudson Hott the Star 101.3/Alt 98.7 host in San Francisco. Mo Kelly evening host at News Talk 640 KFI, Clay Roe News Talk 640 KFI’s Imaging Director and Chuck Dizzle overnights at Real 92.3 Hip Hop KRRL, all in Los Angeles. Jeff St. Pierre the Assistant Program Director and host at Country 93.1, who had been with the company for 17 years, in Baltimore. Sarah the morning show host on KZOK in Seattle. Duce Foreman cluster promotions director and afternoon host at Classic Rock 93.3 The Eagle in Fayetteville. Sean Salisbury mornings at Sports Talk 790 KBME, and former NFL QB, in Houston. Trudy Sutherland the Senior Marketing Specialist, who had been with iHeart for 14 years, in Manchester. Steve Czaban and Brian Buth morning hosts at 97.3 the Game WRNW & 1070 WTSO in Milwaukee. Amani “Mani Milss” Cuyler the Music Director and Midday Host at Hip Hop 101.1 the Beat WUBT after 7 years in Nashville.
