Here are some of my thoughts on the best clone mics and what one of my friends had to say about them. Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments, then we’ll narrow this down into a poll in our Radio Update Weekly Wire to settle the debate.
Recently I’ve been asking myself this question a lot, how do we create modern radio studios that maximize our talent’s ability to create content? Here are a few thoughts on that. Versatility and flexibility are key.
A great mic in the wrong space can result in a terrible recording. For example, if the recording environment is such that it cannot be adequately treated then a large condenser microphone will not be the best choice despite being widely regarded as the “best category” for voiceover work.
As artificial intelligence is finally being embraced by the radio world and continues to grow, we still need to remember… this is ARTIFICIAL intelligence, and this is not the time to wipe your hands of the property you’ve relinquished control over to AI.
