Have you priced out family photos? I believe the woman we love to use is now $600 for a session. ONE session! It’s crazy. However, these photos will last you forever. Especially for a mother, capturing the kids’ age at this exact moment means quite a bit as the years go by so quickly. With the way the world is today, it’s hard to budget for something like this. So let’s give a session away!
Photo session promotions are nothing new. We’re not really reinventing the wheel here. HOW you give it away is the kicker. Here’s an idea, the family has to submit an Awkward Family Photo. We’ve all seen them…denim on denim on denim, lounging on top of each other, or behind a picket fence sitting in a random wicker chair…the 80s was full of these embarrassing poses.
On your website there will be an entire section where listeners can submit a photo. It can be one they make up or one that actually has existed. When they submit it, someone needs to make sure they are appropriate before they get posted. Once they pass inspection, all photos will be posted on the website. Daily, post the link on socials reminding listeners to vote.
This should cause lots of traffic to the website as well so let sponsors know their logo will be posted on the main page on the website.
After a few weeks of collecting photos, you can start a bracket of sorts to find your winner. The two runners up will receive gift cards to the photographer to get discounted packages, but the main winner gets the entire photo session.
