I believe this will be the year of the pivot, meaning that either radio stations and groups will pivot this year or their remaining personnel will. My hope is that it’s the stations and groups that choose to pivot so our most valuable asset, our personnel, will not have to. Here’s what pivoting could look like.

This weekend's events remind me of the massive advantage radio still has, especially over digital-only competitors, when severe weather strikes (or any emergency happens). Here are a few ways to ensure we maintain that advantage and use it to help people within our coverage area. Have redundancy throughout the audio chain. We can’t be that lifeline for our community if we’re off the air.
