If you’re not the “sports ball” type, don’t let that title deter you from reading the rest of this promotion. Football fans…READ ON!
Valentine’s Day is exactly one week after the Superbowl this year. In MOST relationships (not all, I absolutely understand a lot of couples bond over the games all season long) football can be a strain. EVERY SUNDAY for about 5 months belongs to the guy, possibly his fave chair, and the tv. Every Sunday we know our man is probably going to be worthless during those approximately three hours. How can we come to a compromise where we can celebrate the Big Game AND keep our non-football-watching S.O. happy?
The “I’m in Love with Football” comes into play! (see what I did there…play….ANYWAY) YOU could win a Big Game Party with your closest friends! But it doesn’t stop THERE! (insert gameshow music) You’ll also win a night out with your significant other the following Sunday on Valentine’s Day!
Included in the party package is Gift Card to the local grocer to stock up on snacks (really it’s so they can get the beer they want but to avoid any legalities we can say it’s for ‘groceries.’) You’ll also receive a party platter from a local restaurant or bar that includes wings, fries, salad, and anything else you’d like that they may offer. We’ll bring over the paper plates, napkins and utensils. We’ll, also, throw in a Yeti cooler and NFL gear representing the team you want to win!
For your romantic evening the following weekend, you will receive dinner on us! A hefty (DO NOT be cheap on this. This has to be at least $150 if it’s going to a nice restaurant) GC that will cover two nice dinners and drinks. The significant other will also receive a bouquet delivered to them on Valentine’s Day.
How will you pick a winner? That’s up to you! Here’s an idea in case you’re stuck: Everyone loves to talk about themselves so you can have listeners submit entries with the story on how they met, something significant they’ve overcome, or why they’re S.O. means so much to them. Have a spot on the website so everyone can read the stories and see pics of the couples. You can state you have a panel of judges to pick the winner (It can really just be the on air staff)
The Monday before the Big Game, pick the winner. You want to give the winners enough time to invite guests over to their swaray.
Obviously, this can get pretty pricey. You can have it as elaborate or simple as you want. The idea of making both in the relationship happy is what this promotion is all about. “I’ll go to your party, but you have to go to dinner with me.” It’s a win win!
