The Worst Christmas Bracket Promotion

We will all be opening gifts soon. Some of those gifts will challenge our acting skills. "Oh Aunt Clara sent a pink nightmare of a deranged bunny suit again...so thrilled." We'd love to see pictures and hear all about the worst Christmas present you've ever received!

Who said brackets have to be strictly for March Madness?! As I was contemplating ideas for that time of year…I started thinking of other ways we can use those brackets. Christmas will be over soon … much to the dismay of parents EVERYWHERE who thoroughly enjoyed having to come up with 9 million ways to move the elf, 20 different outfits for the kids to wear to every theme day at school, creative gifts for teachers, classroom party gift exchanges… Sorry, I’m in the thick of it as we speak.

ANYWAY… we will all be opening gifts soon. Some of those gifts will challenge our acting skills. “Oh Aunt Clara sent a pink nightmare of a deranged bunny suit again…so thrilled.” We’d love to see pictures and hear all about the worst Christmas present you’ve ever received!

Listeners will have the opportunity to go to your station website and upload pictures of the worst Christmas present they’ve received. Tell the story on where it came from and what year you received the atrocity. It’s up to you how long you want to take submissions.  I would start this as soon as Christmas is over.

Every Friday upload new gifts on the website. Share on ALL socials…your program director will love that. This promotion is very flexible. You can have as many rounds as you like. It would depend on the amount of entries you receive. Really hype it up now through Christmas. They may even be thinking about this bracket while opening presents! “It really wouldn’t be that bad if I got Uncle Dan’s secret Santa gift this year …”

The best part about this promotion is the grand prize is limitless! If you have a concert coming up, front row tickets would be incredible. Since they got a terrible present, a GC to Amazon would be great. In order to get as many entries as possible, you’d need a prize that would be universal. A gift card to a local boutique really only pertains to a specific group.  A $500 gift card could do something great for anyone.

As always, have fun with this! I can’t wait to see the entries and find out what terrible gift givers listeners have in their lives.
