Layoffs Ongoing at Audacy

Like other large radio groups it appears that Audacy is moving toward regional market oversight leading to a new round of staff reductions. This comes a little over a year after Audacy's last round of layoffs. With first quarter coming to a close Audacy may not be the only radio group opting to layoff staff.

This week’s Audacy cuts include: Joe Czekaj afternoon traffic reporter and night host on Classic Rock 98.5 in Cleveland after 7 years there. Tucker “Frito” Young and Katy Dempsey morning hosts at Country 100.3 The Bull in Houston after just 15 months. Hot AC Emma 94.1 APD and KSWD Music Director Doug Duin in Seattle after 4 years with the company. Devan Kaney sideline reporter at 94.1 WIP in Philadelphia after 2 years. Vicki Pepper-McDonel, traffic reporter, public affairs director and weekend host on K-Frog 95.1 in Riverside. Afternoon drive host at Lite 100.5 in Hartford, David Simpson.

This is a developing story.
