Key Responsibilities:

• Hosting: Lead a daily three hour talk show with entertaining commentary and humor, inquisitive interviews, and provocative discussions on political, social, and local issues.
• Audience Engagement: Build and maintain a strong connection with listeners through relatable stories, humor, and addressing local concerns and interests.
• Audio Production: Use audio clips, comedy, and other media elements to enhance the show’s presentation.
• Content Creation & Show Prep: Conduct thorough research and show prep to ensure content is timely and relevant. Stay updated on national and local news, especially on issues that matter to Southwest Florida.
• Market Immersion: Get involved with the local community to understand the unique culture, values, and concerns of the Fort Myers/Naples audience. Attend local events and build relationships with community leaders and influencers.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a talk host with a solid track record of audience engagement and content creation.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the Program Director and staff to develop and execute show content, promotions, and listener interaction strategies.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in audio editing software and other broadcast technology. Experience with live broadcasting is a must.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to respond quickly to breaking news and other time-sensitive topics.
