Position Overview:
The Program Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of station programming, ensuring that News Radio KMAN continues to serve its community with engaging, timely, and professional local news, talk, and sports coverage. As Morning Show Host, you will be the voice that starts the day for thousands of listeners, delivering news, interviews, and conversation that informs and engages. The position may also include high school play-by-play duties and other local sports coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and schedule all on-air programming and promotions.
Lead and mentor on-air staff and board operators.
Host and produce the station’s live weekday morning show, delivering compelling and timely content.
Collaborate with sales and promotions to create sponsorship opportunities.
Represent KMAN at community events, live remotes, and station functions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years radio experience in programming and on-air hosting (news/talk preferred).
Strong knowledge of news, current events, and sports, with an emphasis on the local community.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Audio production and digital editing experience.
Experience with radio automation software (Wide Orbit preferred).
Ability to engage an audience on-air and through digital platforms.
Play-by-play broadcasting experience is a plus.
