What You’ll Do:
- Lead all aspects of station on-air experience in a leadership and operations role, responsible for talent, content, programming, and Digital presence.
- Oversee the creation and selection of all on-air and Digital content, ensuring it aligns with the station’s brand and audience preferences.
- Partner with Market President, Senior Vice President of Programming and Sales in support of local and corporate business goals to increase market share, listeners, ratings, adviser satisfaction and revenue while aligning programming fit with client, station, and audience; creates talent and station marketing, promotion and image campaigns
- Field sports team calls, schedule play-by-play and check social media to ensure music remains consistent with the station’s brand
- Review and determine all commercial and paid programming content and schedule programming that conforms with FCC rules and regulations, company policy and applicable laws; protect station license.
- Manage the programming schedule, making sure that shows are strategically placed to maximize listener engagement
- Hire, train, and manage on-air personalities and other staff, fostering a creative and professional environment
- Help design and implement market research to understand audience demographics and preferences, adjusting programming accordingly
- They ensure all content complies with FCC regulations and station policies
- They coordinate promotional events and on-location broadcasts to engage with the community and increase the station’s visibility
- Mange day-to-day operations of the station, including troubleshooting technical issues and filling in for on-air talent when necessary
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 10 years prior high-level of experience in radio.
- A proven track record for ratings success and revenue generation.
- Ease with a wide range of spoken word radio formats including talk and sports with superior knowledge of news, traffic, and weather
- Familiarity with streaming, digital, and podcast platforms.
- Familiarity with play-by-play sports and the workings of local and syndicated sports.
- Strong managerial skills, including diplomacy, critical thinking, and leadership
- Great communication skills
- Experience with research and analytics
- Expertise in Microsoft Office application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
$280,000 – $350,000
