Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the programming strategy to ensure content reflects WBCL’s mission, values, and listener expectations.
• Oversee on-air talent and production staff to create a dynamic and consistent sound on-air and online.
• Mentor on-air staff, providing regular feedback, coaching, and development.
• Work closely with marketing and development teams to align messaging and campaigns.
• Represent WBCL at public and donor events.
• Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and broadcast standards.
• Monitor ratings, music and market research, and listener feedback to guide content decisions.
• Hosting regular live air shift, including regularly creating digital media content related to air shift.
• Control board operation, including editing phone bits, interviews and other audio.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Broadcasting.
• Knowledge and experience with broadcast software systems.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in radio programming, preferably in a leadership role at a Christian station, with experience managing multiple direct reports.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an air talent.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of radio operations including proficiency in audio editing and programming software (e.g., MusicMaster, Adobe Audition).
• Experience in programming a network of stations with location-specific content strategies.
