What You’ll Do:
- Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
- Perform live mixshows that align with the station’s music strategy.
- Protect the station’s FCC license
- Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
- Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
- Operate the control board and perform production work
- Collaborate with the Brand Manager and other team members on format execution and developing unique content for on-air and social media.
- Other duties as required by management
Qualifications
Required & Preferred:
- Experience: 3+ years as a live mixshow DJ, with the ability to perform live and pre-recorded content using “radio edits” that comply with FCC and company guidelines, particularly regarding profanity and indecent content.
- Music Knowledge: On-air experience in contemporary music formats.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with DJ software such as Serato DJ Pro, Virtual DJ Pro, and Pioneer DJ equipment (e.g., DJM-900NXS2 and PLX-1000 turntables).
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Wide Orbit Automation System, Adobe Audition, and Vox Pro.
