What You’ll Do:
- Anchor national newscasts for top and bottom of the hour.
- Provide newscasts for multiple local markets as needed.
- Write clear, concise news copy.
- Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
- Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
- Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
- May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.
- This person will also perform in-house reporting duties, produce content for national wire service and take on general newsroom assignments.
What You’ll Need:
- Extensive “on-air” background; this is not an entry level role.
- Proficient in media production and broadcast systems.
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should have high standards for audio quality, strong on-air presentation skills and the ability to write radio broadcast style copy.
