Qualified candidates should have at least 5 years of experience working at an FCC licensed radio station. At least two of these years should have been spent in a leadership role at the radio station or radio market. Experience and knowledge of radio and digital sales is a must. Having a post-secondary degree in business, broadcasting, marketing, or communications is preferred but not a requirement to submit a resume for the career opportunity as Great Plains Media General Manager.

The WZIM, WIBL, and WRPW General Manager will be expected to do the following:
· Understand broadcast radio and digital sales and how both work together to develop effective advertising solutions
· Manage the day-to-day operations and budgets of the WZIM, WIBL, and WRPW radio stations
· Have knowledge of digital, online, and social media platforms used in the radio industry
· Develop successful advertising and marketing solutions and campaigns for clients using multi-media platforms and deliver the campaigns to the radio team
· Set weekly and monthly sales goals for the radio station and conduct sales staff meetings
· Hire, coach, train, counsel and motivate sales team
· Find new advertising and community partners to invest in the radio stations
· Represent Great Plains Media at various community activities and meetings such as chamber of commerce meetings, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and etc.
· Keep up-to-date on industry and company-wide radio practices and developments
· Ensure the radio stations’ programming is relevant, focused, appropriate, and competitive

Compensation will reflect leadership experience and work experience.
