Job Summary:

The Bilingual Event Manager serves as a bilingual (English and Spanish) member of the Hope Events Team. This position provides support for the Vice President, Sr Manager, and Operations/Event Manager, National Events. Also works with the Vida Unida Program Director to book concerts and events. This position is responsible for interdepartmental Spanish communication and communication with the Spanish music industry.

Essential Functions:

Event Management:

  • Under the supervision of the Hope Events Team, will work with the Vida Unida Program Director to book Vida Unida events
  • Fulfill and create contractual agreements for Spanish events
  • Manage Spanish events as assigned
  • Take leadership role in office and on-site responsibilities. Example: Submitting volunteer request, entering e-reqs, preparing materials needed for day of show, serving as support at events, reserving vehicles, scheduling runners and box office personnel

Administrative Support to Hope Events:

  • Receives audits and updates fiscal snapshots & scorecards with each week once on sale. Establishes show folders ministry software
  • Review promo copy and Spanish audio production. Coordinate Spanish Social Media, and oversee any contracts written in Spanish
  • Works with Etix, Event Managers to coordinate all Box Office needs for each event. Travels & acts as Box Office Supervisor when necessary
  • Builds surveys & tracks departmental data (post-show surveys, marketing data, show dates and on-sale dates)
  • Serve as interdepartmental liaison. Example: Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Promotions, and Programming
  • Partner with HMG Marketing Department to develop strategies designed to increase attendance at events
  • Oversee the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns and expenses executed by the marketing team, including on-air promotional campaigns, live DJ mentions, marketing plans, advertising strategy, media buying, outbound sales efforts, and digital marketing plans
  • Update financial snapshot on a weekly basis concert budgets and ministry calendar
  • Manage the Hope Events Outlook email inbox
  • Maintain a travel and time off calendar for the department
  • Provide ticketing to HMG Promotions for free events

Demonstrated Faith:

  • Pray for coworkers in team meetings
  • Lead prayer in large group settings as needed
  • Pray for donors when called upon to do so
  • Use Christian principles to work through conflict as outlined by the Culture tool kit
  • Participate in on-air fundraisers and pray for donors over the phone as needed
  • Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
  • Attend weekly staff gatherings for prayer and devotions

Non-Essential Functions:

Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Some college preferred

Experience:

  • 1-2 years concert/event experience preferred
  • 3-5 years administrative experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Google tools applications

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to driver a 12-passenger van (minimum of 21 years of age to drive insured vehicles)

  • Occasionally to support events in other markets

Nights/Weekends/Holidays:

  • Occasional depending on event schedule
