Artist to Watch: Nic D and Connor Price

A rap/R&B duo you didn't see coming! Connor Price and Nic D have a tour coming up in June 2026. You can find more info at connorpricemusic.com.

Once again, Tik Tok has brought new songs to my playlist. Scrolling late one night I came across this jam and immediately stopped. It was such a mellow track but made me want to get up, so I did, and bopped while walking around the house looking up info on this duo that has entirely their own sound. Normally, I can hear twinges of artists the new act looks up to, but not this time. One part brings a smooth mellow chorus while the other comes in with a fast paced verse that adds a while new vibe. I still listen to “Scoop” when I need to get my butt in gear. Nic D and Connor Price have created music that’s constantly played in my house.

Trying to find info on Nic and Connor has made me feel like a creepy stalker, for lack of better terms. There’s not a lot out there, as far as their bios go, which is good for them. I did see they are fathers and there may be a design to the secrecy. In one video Connor says the reason their music is clean is so they can have their kids in their videos and they can play their own music in their house. Another reason I feel totally fine playing it in mine.

I did see Billboard Canada did a great article on them. In it, Connor explains he got a message from his favorite artist and he told Connor to stay independent as an artist. Shockingly, Price was a child actor, starring in Cinderella Man, Good Luck Chuck, and other smaller roles. He said he’d do music on the side and enter rap contests on YouTube anonymously. Once, he won out of 100 people, and it was all anonymous. When Covid hit in 2020, production on tv and movies halted which gave Price time to concentrate on his music. At that time, Tik Tok blew up! His wife encouraged him to share his music on the platform. This is when Nic D came into the picture.

Nic D has been a long time collaborator and even joined Connor when Price did a few pop up shows in Toronto (where the crew is from) and Chicago. Connor and Nick started working on more music together, uploading snippets to Tik Tok, and saw the followers blow up. As of now they aren’t an actual duo, but rather solo artists working together. To me, the smart idea is to form a crew since another artist, GRAHAM, is with them too. But why break what’s not broken, right?

Nic has been in the game since 2019 after he decided to stop his wedding photography business. Nic was featured on an episode of the managers playbook podcast where he talks about how he was able to gain 1 million streams a day on Spotify without an agent. Again, going back to the advice given to Connor, these guys are doing it on their own and clearly know HOW to do it!
