Key Responsibilities

On-air broadcasting

Anchor live solo morning show (6-10 am weekdays) delivering engaging content with multiple POVs, entertainment, and music
Lead a team including a constant flow of guests while maintaining a high-energy, relatable personality
Conduct community, celebrity and client interviews, listener call-ins, and live segments
Create and deliver original content, including bits, jokes, topical discussions and stories.
Voice track and fill in for sister stations

Strategic planning & content development

Follow and execute the station’s overarching strategic plan
Develop tactical content that supports and ties back to strategic objectives
Prepare and plan content that hyper focuses on the listener and aligns with current country music pop culture and local zeitgeist
Create content calendars that ensure consistency across all platforms
Digital content creation

Produce and post daily Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube clips highlighting show moments
Create and edit social media content optimised for each platform
Host Facebook Live and Instagram Live sessions during show segments
Record, edit, and post behind-the-scenes content for the station websites and social channels

Brand development & management

Obsessively build and maintain personal brand, morning show brand, and station brand
Develop and promote brands within the company
Maintain consistent brand voice across all platforms and appearances
Act as primary brand ambassador for the station and its partners including remotes, interviews, station events, tv appearances, wherever, as required.

Client integration & monetization

Create organic client integrations in on-air and online content pieces
Work closely with the sales team to develop sponsored content that seamlessly integrates with show content
Understand and execute advertiser messaging while maintaining authentic audience connections
Foster station client relationships as a key brand ambassador
Television work

Represent the station on regular TV appearances (previous experience is an asset)
Create television-ready content that extends the Rooster 101.9 to TV and online
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct suitable for TV

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications, or related field OR 10-plus years of professional radio experience
Proven ability to anchor and lead a morning show team
‘Can do’ and ‘get it done’ attitude with strong self-motivation
Obsessive about placing the listener first in every content piece
Expert in creating organic client integrations across multiple platforms
Strong video and audio editing skills
Strategic thinker who can execute tactical plans
Brand obsessed with a proven track record of brand building
Experience with voice tracking and multi-station operations
Team player mentality with demonstrated leadership abilities
Ability to relocate to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Preferred qualifications

Television broadcasting experience
Photography skills and visual content creation
Podcast production experience
Relationships with celebrities, influencers, and music industry professionals
Experience managing and mentoring on-air talent
Knowledge of Caribbean culture and market

Physical requirements

Ability to work early morning hours consistently
Capacity to attend events that may require standing for extended periods
Able to carry and set up remote broadcasting equipment
Work in both studio and outdoor environments in tropical climate
Maintain professional appearance to uphold integrity of the Rooster 101.9 brand (for onsite, online, and television appearances)
