Division: Corus Radio Guelph / Kitchener – 91.5 The Beat

Work Status: Full-Time

Location: Guelph, ON (In Studio – On-site)

You will contribute by:

• Prepare and execute a tight & focused and live Afternoon Show on 91.5 The Beat.
• Voice commercials (radio & TV) and promos as requested.
• Create original audio and video content, while staying connected to trends in social media and create opportunities to drive ratings and social engagement through those platforms. Work to grow the station’s digital audience on all platforms.
• Attend functions, remote broadcasts, participate in station promotions, and make live appearances on behalf of the station as required.
• Voice track other shows (in-market and out-of-market) when necessary.
• Daily music duties were required.
• Working independently as well as contributing in group efforts to create memorable shows and social content.
• Being proactive in supporting Sales and Promotional opportunities.

Skills and experience you will bring:

• An exceptional understanding of Pop Culture trends and how to incorporate them into Programming.
• Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Broadcasting, Radio Television Arts or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous on-air announcer experience.
• Strong engagement and skills that translate to on-air, text and social platforms.
• Utilization of the tools and technology available to run a tight, well-produced show.
• A proven track record of outstanding social media presence and creativity.
• Ability to record and edit audio / video on a phone to create content.
• Participate in weekly meetings as required – including Creative, Promotions and Programming.
• Demonstrate a passion for the music we play and/or a willingness to embrace the formats.
• Valid G Class Driver’s license and a good driving record.
