What You’ll Do:
- Generate original ideas, encourage ideation from others, and carry out thorough research
- Show prep, content generation, organizing and scheduling guests
- Lead the morning show team, support them, champion teammates
- Social Media content generation across multiple platforms
- Video editing social media content
- Obtain permission or licenses for recording or broadcasting on location, and for the use of music, sound effects and audio archive material
- Monitor listener emails, calls and inquiries and responses related to shows
- Work in collaboration with presenters, in order to perform quality assurance to meet established production standards, rules and regulations
- Use various broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software
- Schedule and monitors the radio stream during live recordings
- Assist with time-keeping, saving show recordings, archiving show files and post-production editing for shows and Podcasts
- Voicetracking as required
- Other Programming duties as required
What You’ll Need:
- Early riser, this is a Morning Show position
- Creative mindset with the ability to formulate, communicate and pitch original ideas
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms
- A keen passion for pop-culture
- Knowledge of the radio and media market, different station/program styles, audience demographics
- Experience using a variety of recording equipment and operating a board, experience with Wheatstone, Nexgen, Sound+, Adobe Audition and Voxpro an asset.
- Confidence and tenacity to pursue information, overcome obstacles and pitch ideas to senior colleagues
- Stress tolerance with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, and to react quickly to changes
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Full knowledge of the law, rules and industry regulations around radio productions; know when it necessary to acquire relevant clearances and licenses
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint as well as all social media platforms

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
